According to media reports, a Moscow court did not arrest Igor Mikhnov, who is the owner of one of the leading fishing holdings in Russia, which ranks third in crab fishing. 

Recently, Mikhnov’s structures have been promoting ice cream crab on the Chinese market.

On Thursday evening, investigators asked the court to send Igor Mikhnov into custody for two months. He was previously charged with theft by fraud. However, the court refused to grant the investigation’s request.

The day before, searches were carried out at the offices of the Antey Group of Companies in Vladivostok, Mikhnov was detained and sent to Moscow    

Igor Mikhnov (his father Ivan Mikhnov is the founder and president of the Antey Group of Companies) is the main owner of the Vladivostok Group of Companies «Antey», which is engaged in the extraction and processing of crab and fish. It owns more than 50 vessels that fish in the Sea of Okhotsk, Bering Sea, Sea of Japan, and Barents Sea. Mikhnov’s partner is Arkady Pinchevsky, who previously headed the board of directors of the Moscow vodka factory «Crystal», and was also the vice-governor of the Sakhalin region.

In recent years, Mikhnov has often visited China and talked a lot about promoting ice cream crab to the Chinese market.
